Obama in Portage

Not artsy, but still interesting. I rushed out the second I heard he was visiting and caught him on his way out of the local restaurant.

Grizzled

Asked this man if I could take a shot of him playing chess with a friend. He was kind. Said go ahead and started lighting his pipe.

First Photo

This photo got me into photography in the first place. I entered it into a regional art contest for High School students and won. Found it in my closet collecting dust and figured it belongs on my site.

This was taken with my first SLR camera, an old pentax film. Developed in my school lab. Brings back memories. Sorry about the dust.

This photo was taken in Summer at Merrillville’s “India Fest”.

Self portrait near a campfire.

Just a timed shot. I left my camera on a grill in the next campsite and walked back over to talk with my friends. I can’t even describe how much I loved camping with the old group.

Cup Ride

Who doesn’t love the carnival. Sure the rides may be shoddy, the carnies are a bit frightening, and the air smells of a mixture of cinnamon and hot dogs, but the whole atmosphere is warm, inviting, and reminiscent of childhood.

Sunset Shadow

It’s odd how pollution in Northwest Indiana can make the sunsets so beautiful.

Falling Water

People at the fountain make great photo subjects.

Shadow Spray

The night was so incredibly fun. I can’t wait to get back there next summer.
